Desmarais LLP Shortlisted for 3 Managing IP Americas Awards 2021

Managing IP nominated Desmarais LLP in three categories for its Americas Awards 2021, shortlisting the firm in Patent Contentious (Northeast), IP Boutique, and John Desmarais, founding partner, for New York Practitioner of the Year (Litigation).
 
The annual Managing IP Americas Awards, now in their 16th year, highlight accomplishments and new developments in intellectual property law over the past 12 months. Managing IP reviews thousands of firms and IP practitioners and selects its shortlists based on notable achievements across the industry, especially major wins for clients and contributions to the field of IP law.
 
In the past year, Desmarais LLP victories included securing dismissal of a patent infringement lawsuit involving $2.8 billion in claims against a major consumer electronics company before the Federal Circuit and winning $1.9 million in attorneys’ fees (in a rare case involving flat-fee attorneys’ fees) for Cisco.
